Our Namesake

Boa Vista Consulting is affectionately named after the owner’s birthplace, Boa Vista, Cape Verde - an island country off the West Coast of Africa, known for its clear turquoise waters, fishing community, eclectic seafood dishes, folk music, and hospitable people. “Boa Vista” means “Good View” or “Clear View” in Portuguese - which is what BVC delivers to its clients - a Clear Path Forward™

Meet Mery

Mery Vieira is a Telly Award-winning marketing professional with 15+ years of experience helping visionary entrepreneurs and mission-driven organizations with clear, candid, and strategic direction for building timeless, purposeful brands.

Since launching Boa Vista Consulting in 2019 I have had the incredible honor of helping business owners, authors, consultants, and other trail blazers build personal brands and businesses that make good while doing good.

My appreciation for entrepreneurs came at an early age. I was born in Cape Verde, where I was exposed to local fisherman, farmers, and merchants who sold their goods on the open market. One of them was my serial entrepreneur grandmother, who owned a hardware store, ran a bar at an airport, was a seamstress, and merchant of fabrics. Watching her pitch new products, negotiate prices, and manage relationships will forever be imprinted into my core memory.

After immigrating to the US, and growing up in New England, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Rhode Island College, and have since parlayed my love of writing, creative problem-solving, and storytelling to build my marketing career, crafting compelling narratives and developing strategic roadmaps for mission-driven brands.

I now live in the NYC metro where I partner with clients who are driven to build a legacy brand that creates generational wealth as well as leaves a lasting positive impact. I hope you will be one of them.
